I need to delete users with Microsoft XP home edition

On Windows 2000, I can right click on my computer, select "manage", and then
select "Local Users and Groups". On my Windows XP Home Edition, "Local Users
and Groups" does not exist. I need to delete "Guest" user.

An alternate approach is to select "User Accounts" under Control Panel, but
when I click on "Guest" user, it just allows "Change the picture" or "Turn
off the guest account". So this approach also doesn't work.

I'm not running Home, so I can't verify this, but try Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2.

Additionally, you don't need to delete it, you can just disable it. You can also do this from a Command Prompt window with the NET USER command. Enter NET USER /? for the list of available options.

Thanks. I can now set passwords for "Administrator" and "Guest". How do I
set minimum password length and maximum password age? When I try to click on
"Local Users and Groups" it gives an error message "This computer is running
Windows XP Home Edition. This snapin may not be used". I use my home computer
for business also.

Use NET ACCOUNTS As with the previous command, the /? switch will get you the list of command line options.

NET ACCOUNTS /?

You can also use NET /? to see all the other neat things the NET command allows you to do.
