Ok,i dont know where i should post this, but i think this
is the place.

Here goes,i have a sb4200 motorola surfboard cable
modem,it all worked out fine, the internet was fast,no
crashes, but now i cant seem to be on for more than 5
minutes without the computer crashing(the comp basically
turns off by itself and restarts).

and most of the time when i try to get use internet
explorer it says "page not found" or something
similar, even though the modem says its connected(all the
lights are lit up and it says it has activity and all)and
if it does work it loads very,VERY slow, and when it works
most of the time the computer turns off soon after.

when i report the error it tells me to upgrade the modems
drivers to 2.1,but when i get on the drivers update page
it doesnt say 2.1,i dont even know how to update them.

so yeah i was wondering if the problem is caused by the
drivers or is there anything else involved?,cuz my dad
told me kaaza might be messing up the computer has
well,but i dunno about that.

alright i think that was all, thanks in advance for
helping me.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.

The only thing that Ad-Aware removes that I've ever heard anyone object to
is the Alexa Registry entry that is needed for IE's Related button.

Almost all hijackware installs its DLL files in the System (or System32)
folder. That makes it easier to use them.

Nobody can say. You haven't disclosed your OS.
