I need help with OE...Please excuse test post...

Last night I compacted my OE folders (computer kept prompting me to do so)
Now when I send a post to MOST groups, they do not show up in my sent folder
NOR in the group...I see my test post DID show up here (I didn't expect it
to) (... I sent myself an email and received it but it did not show up in
my sent folder. What am I doing wrong please?
Any help will be most appreciated.

Checked it out Wes, it was already marked...last file in that folder was
sent yesterday...all other sent files prior to that were still there. No
newly sent files are showing up.

Bingo Wesley !!!!!!! The system date was set for Aug 19, 2006. I went to
Aug 19, in my sent folder and there they were...My Files. How the date was
changed, I do not know. It is fine now. Thank You.

It was not set for 2006, it was set for 2005...if it was set for 2006, I
would have seen them first in line ;o))

Why does it prompt you to compact your OE folders? Are you
short of space on disk? If so, you should also address that
problem.

Most likely it is "Automatic compacting", introduced with the latest
version of Outlook Express, which came with Windows XP SP2! The user has
most likely been clicking on the Cancel button after closing Outlook
Express. The user should Open and Close Outlook Express when they do not
otherwise wish to use the computer. That way they can allow automatic
compacting to take place at a convenient time. Automatic compacting is
scheduled to occur after Outlook Express has been closed 100 times.
