I need help with Add/Remove Windows Components

M

Michael Mauzey

After I open Add/Remove in the Control Panel and try to open the
"Add/Remove Windows Components" section in the left margin, this error
message pops up:

"Setup library ocgen.dll could not be loaded, or function OcEntry
could not be found. Contact your system administrator. The specific
error code is 0x7e".

I am the system administrator (home PC) ... any ideas how to fix this.
Thanks ... Michael Mauzey

Try running System File Checker to see if ocgen.dll can be restored.

Start | Run | Type: sfc /scannow | OK
Have your XP CD ready to stick in your CD drive.

If you have XP Home and it asks for your XP Pro Cd, stick the CD in the
drive *first* and then type the command.

scannow sfc (sfc.exe)
