I need help .. Browser CONSTANTLY crashing

LuvsBucs

Hi, I am new to this, but I cant seem to find anyone to help me. My IE
browser is constantly crashing on me and is, obviously, very annoying.
Everything I do to troubleshoot sends me to Java.com. I have the most
current software installed.

The problem occurs a lot on Pogo.com. I currently run Microsoft SP1. I
also blue screen a lot and it the error comes up a Java problem.

I am about to reboot this computer through a window. Any advice.
Thankyou.

Hi, sorry nobody has responded to your request for assistance. I am not an
expert by any means. That is my disclaimer. :)

Have you installed the most current updates? Have you went to Microsofts
Update center? Have you looked through the knowlege based articles? Why not
install the Service Pack 2? It may resolve this issue and many others you may
not even know you are having at this time.

The knowlege base can be confusing at first. I am still learning how to use
it myself. On the left side of "help and support" at
http://support.microsoft.com is a list of differant "Help Centers". Go to the
one that is listed as "Internet Explorer current version" with current
version being the version you are using. YOu can find out which version you
are using by going to the menu bar at the top of your browser and clicking on
the "Help" tab. Then click on "About Internet Explorer".
A window will pop up with information about the IE version you are currently
using. I use Internet Explorer 6.

With this information you go to the Microsoft Help and Support web site and
find your version at the left side of the screen. Click on it and it will
bring up many links to articles about lots of differant problems to trouble
shoot. They are tittle links with a breaf amount of info, so browse on down
page untill you come across one or more that sound close to your problem and
click on the tittle. It will bring up the article in full and offer other
links in it to further information.

If one doesn't help go back to the first page and find another one to look
at. If you can't find anything then I suggest you contact "Help and Support"
by e-mail. You can find this link on the bottom of nearly every page. If it
is a issue that an update will fix the help is free. Any update issue is
never a charged assistance.

Good luck! :)

Hi,
If this appears to be a Java problem, have you uninstalled/reinstalled Sun
Java JRE? Is your Java version 5.0 update 6? Visit
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

Clearing the Java cache may help. Go to Control Panel> Java Plug-in> Cache>
Clear.
