I need a password for networking on windows xp home edition

hi, i have 2 computers, both running xp home. ones a laptop, the other a
desktop. they are on a network already, sharing files and a printer. The
laptop is wireless on the network. The desktop is directly connected to the
router on a 100 mb Ethernet connection. i understand that the router has a
wep key and all that, i have that security enabled already. However, i also
would like it if when i go on my laptop, and access the desktop through my
network places, i have to provide a password in order to see the shared
files. i would also like the desktop to be required to enter a password to
access the shared files on the laptop. I would just like this added password
as an extra form of security, in case someone figures out the wep key to
access my wireless router. i am just wondering if this is possible, for i
have searched the Internet, but it seems i could only find doing this
operation on xp pro, not home edition. any help would be appreciated. thanx
:)

With Windows XP Home and Simple File Sharing, all network access is through the
Guest account. You CAN have a password on the Guest account, though most
normally don't.
