when i download video files (mpeg, avi, etc.) and go to
play them back using windows media player, it says 'error
downloading codec server', or something like that. it
plays the sound but not the picture. pretty annoying.
does anyone out there know how to fix this? do i need to
download something to make it work? i heard someone say
something about downloading an 'mpeg2', but as far as i
know this thing doesn't exist.
help!!!

martin.

Martin each video file type needs a software codec
(encoder/decoder) to be read in a video player like
Windows Media Player - you can download them from
(e-mail address removed) (downloads) or easier perhaps is
to download the free quicktime 6 video player from
www.apple.com which natively supports more video file
types than WMP.
