Windows Media Player default

How do I set Windows Media Player as my default. Currently when i download
videos via youtube, it automatically saves it as Real Player format, which I
can not play on Windows Media Player

Open WMP,click on tools,options,file types tab,chk the box "select all"
apply,
close out....
