I lost my information

a friend of mine was playing around on my computer and she
somehow started reinstalling windows xp. I could not
change what she had already started, but now I have lost
my product number and serial number required to install my
operating system. I called a number that I had gotten
from 411 and they basically told me that I would have to
buy another disk. There has to be a way to retrieve the
information needed to reinstall my OS. If anyone has any
suggestions or knows what I can do, Please e-mail me at

Look on the case. There should be a sticker with the product key. Check
all your documentation for the XP install CD that should have come with your
computer. And Sarah, never give your email address on a public forum like
this.
