I lost cd case to reinstall software where do i get a new code #

i had to get my computer fixed. Everything was erased. I bought microsoft
office last year but lost the cd case. Now that i am trying to reinstall
everything it is asking my for a 16 code # that says can be located on the cd
case. well i no longer have the cd case. How can i install the software
again, if i dont have the code?
Please help.
 
Depending on the version.... if you registered with Microsoft, contact them,
they have your information on file. If you did not register with them, then
I'm not sure.
