I loose the first e-mail in my in box whenever I close the program

When I restart the program my first e-mail in the in box is missing
 
Menu bar (ALT if not visible) > View > Current View > check Show All Messages

Also, you can go to Menu > View > Layout..., and check Views Bar. This will put
an additional bar on your Tools bar that will enable you to quickly change your
current folder view.
