I Like Newegg

Well, I've spent around $750 at Newegg over the past few weeks upgrading
my system with a new Asus motherboard and ATI video card and Core 2 Quad
processor and more. Still, I was surprised when I called today to
return something. I'd ordered a cheap case, a RAIDMAX|ATX, to use as a
spare computer I plan to save in a closet for the day I hope never comes
when my new system dies for some unexpected reason. I have enough
leftover parts for a second computer. The case got mixed reviews from
Newegg customers, but hey, what the heck, it was only $22.50. Cheap, as
I said. And guess what? When the case arrived today, the chassis was
bent and the front panel had broken off just as other customers had
warned in the Newegg product reviews. I thought I'd be lucky, but nope.
Stupid me.

So I called Newegg and explained the situation and the guy credited my
credit card $25.00, which is $2.50 more than I paid in the first place.
He suggested I throw the thing away and order a new one. Well, I
certainly will order a new one, an Enlight probably, and I'll order it
from Newegg. Those people are good, in my semi-limited experience, anyway.

Yep, Newegg is great. Spent thousands of $'s with them. Never had to
return anything, but it is a comforting feeling to know if the situation
should come up then it would be without hassle.

Indeed, they are a company that understands that if you stand behind your
customers they will come back time after time after time after
time.............

Too bad most other companies don't think like Newegg!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're lucky were in a time when there's so much competition and razor
thin profits -- really a buyer's market and it doesn't look it will
end anytime soon. Gone are the daze when RAM was $35 a MB and a fast
computer cost $5k.

For what it's worth, after I posted my message it suddenly occurred to
stupid me that when I include the cost of shipping the $25 refund didn't
fully cover my total outlay. Nevertheless, I'm semi-happy. Not quite
so totally completely deliriously happy as when I made the original
post, but semi-happy nonetheless.

I have always had good luck with newegg and returned one item, a power
supply, because it is incompatible with an ASUS MB.

The user comments are the best feature but I suppose newegg could use that
to push a product, posting only good reviews.

Also, some items can not be returned, like LCD TVs. I did a comparison with
a local wholesale club here and newegg, for this brand of tv, including
shipping, was $100 cheaper. The tv was around $700.

Of course, the big advantage of the wholesale club store is if you do not
like the tv, style, function, anything else, you can return it. With
newegg, and mwave, once it is delivered, you got it.

I had to return some laptop memory which didn't work in my laptop, and
when I requested the RMA I did it for resend, not refund. After
shipping it back (very easy with their UPS label printing) I realized
the problem wasn't the memory, it was my lappy and I needed my money
back. A few minutes on their support chat site, the person at newegg
located and switched my RMA to refund, and that was that....no run
around or incompetence. What a concept!!!

I ordered an E6600 from Newegg a few months ago and it was about 2-3 days
before Intel had their first price drop on the C2Ds. I had originally paid
over $300.00 for it and they credited my order for the $60.00 or so
difference in their listed price and the new price. I never even called them
about it. Things like that make for repeat customers. I have never had an
issue with Newegg and I have ordered thousands of dollars of parts and
equipment from them over the years.
