I have to restart after being on internet

I installed XP SP2 in September and since installing anytime I'm on th
internet and get off, then try to get back on again it will not allo
me to connect to my email server and when I open I.E. it shows erro
and will not show my home page or any other site on the net. I have t
restart my machine and once I do that it will connect to my email serve
and open I.E. and show sites without a problem. By the way I'm on
dial-up provider.....
I know, I know.....but not much choice where I live.

Are you using the email protection portion of your antivirus program. Is it
compatible with your ISP's email server? May want to check with the ISP to
see if there is anything special that you need to do to get these two
things to work together. Also check with Symantec for updates to their
program that may correct the email glitches you're running into.
