I have a calendar & a personal calendar

When I open outlook it goes to personal calendar which doesn't have my
appointments, etc. When I check the box by the Calendar one it won't open in
the correct calendar when opening. What's going on???

Hard to say without knowing some more details.
Version of Outlook? Help-> About
Type of mail account? Tools-> Account Settings...

Any specific reason why you have multiple calendars configured?
Where are they located? Both in the same mailbox or in separate folder
trees?
Switch to the Folder List View (Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007) to find out.
