I.E. Host - On Add/Remove Program List - AntiSpyware doesn't detect or remove

Dale Unroe

I have an obvious malware/spyware piece of software
sitting in my Add/Remove Programs list. It is
labeled "I.E. Host". The MS AntiSpyware Beta software
does not detect nor remove this. Google searches confirm
this to be a malignant pest piece of malware.

I have of course tried the Add/Remove normal behavior
of "remove"; however, the program activates a window
which begins to run a program which claims it needs to
download something from the internet to uninstall
itself. Of course this is a load of bulloney and more
likely its bringing in some more good spyware or running
and then sending a survey report of my system.

Can anyone provide information on this?

TIA - Dale

This is the reason why Microsoft should make the real-
time protection better, so i wouldn't have to go through
all this in order to remove spyware, it's really hard to
remove spyware once it enter the computer.

I don't think the fault lies with MS. I believe National Governments/
National Legal Systems should more aggressively apprehend, prosecute and
imprison the perpetrators of viruses, spyware and spam messages. Failure to
take action will eventually result in the collapse of the internet system.
