I.E has encountered an error and has to close...

Can anyone help with this problem? I am certain this problem has arrisen
since downloading service pack 2. On most websites, the above message
appears and I.E 6 closes. In the error report it says App name:
Iexplorer.exe Appver:6.0.2900.2180 Modname:Unknown ModVer:0.0.0.0
offset:36313945 so I have no idea where the problem lies.

Does anybody have some advice? I cannot remove I.E6 as I am an XP user and
it wont allow it. I cannot restore my PC to a time before installing SP2
unfortunately.

Please help if you can. Many thanks. James

Hi James :)

It is likely that some spywere or malware on your system has been discovered
by SP2. You will need to go through the steps below to fully clean your
machine.
