i deleted solatiare

i deleted solatiare pinball and some of those other games that came with xp on accident. Then i tried using system restore and it didnt work. So is there any other way of getting them back without using the windows xp startup disc. Or should i just try system restore again. And if i try system restore are there some files i need to back up and if so what

Control panel, add or remove programs, on the left pane click "Add/Remove Windows
Components", it will take a couple of minutes to populate, double-click accessories
and utilities, double-click games.
You will no doubt need the disk, your computer came with a recovery disk, Windows is
on that disk...

it has a check mark next to them but i dont really know what that means
