i can't send mail with outlook or outlook express

I can't send email from outlook 2000 or outlook express. I just recently put
together a new computer with a new copy of win xp pro. I then installed
office 2000 and outlook works fine except i can send mail. It seems to work
but I sent mail to an on line account and did not receive it. I then tried
to use outlook express and had the same problem. HELP HELP HELP

are you sure that your smtp information are correct?
Which provider do you use?

Thanks for the reply. I use roadrunner. I have it set up according to the
info sheet rr gave me. I even wrote the settings don and compared the to and
they are the same. Reply to me at (e-mail address removed) if you can.
