I can't remove an unwanted gif attachment when I send email

I hope someone has insight into this problem...

Whenever my friend sends email from Outlook, her message has a 1KB
attachment called "image001.gif". It's just a weird little 20x6 image
that looks like a spacer from a website. She uses this email account
for her business, so it's not good to have a meaningless attachment on
her outgoing messages.

I don't know when the problem started so I can't tie it to an event.
I've looked all over trying to find where to remove it. It's not part
of her signature. I thought it might be in her stationery, but I
wasn't successful finding it there (which isn't to say it's not a
stationery problem -- I just couldn't figure out how to access it).

Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

I found a workaround for the problem! The selected stationery for
messages was "Blank." The stationery dropdown menu didn't give me the
"<None>" option. I chose another stationery from the menu (the
delightfully awful "Citrus Punch"). Then I looked at the dropdown menu
again and this time "<None>" appeared. I chose that and the problem
went away. Maybe the "Blank" stationery got somehow corrupted.
