I can't open a doc. because a open dialog box is open, help?

Everytime I try to open a saved word document a pop-up comes on the screen
and says that the doc. can not be open because a dialog box is open, I don't
have a dialog box open that I know of.

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See

Are you trying to open it by right-clicking on it in the file-open dialog
and selecting Open?
