I can't get IE to work!!!!!

Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this is the correct discussion group, but
I'll post my question anyway (please let me know which group I should post
to
if this is not it....thanks). Here goes.....

I have Internet Explorer (version 6) loaded on my computer, but cannot
find it (actually, it is located in c: program files, but will not work for
me). I normally use Netscape for my internet use and will get popups from
IE....however, I ALWAYS get an error message from IE every time I get a
popup) Hope this makes sense.....can anyone help?

I have a disk with IE to re-load it, but it won't allow me to because it
tells me I have the same version already loaded on my system.....

When I try to delete IE from C:program files (so I can re-load it again) I
get the following error message: Cannot delete: It is being used by another
person or program. I cannot find it in the startup menu (when running
msconfig), but may be
missing it under a different name?????

Also, IE is NOT found in the Add/Delete program files (even though it is
somewhere on my computer). Argggghhhhhh!!!

Hi Barbara,

Check the folder "Program Files\Internet Explorer" for iexplore.exe. This is
the default location for the Internet Explorer program.

If it is not there move it back to that folder.

If it is there select the Start>Set Program Access and Defaults menu and set
Internet Explorer as your default web browser.

To test if all is good, Select the Start>Run menu and enter about:blank in
the run dialog... This should open Internet Explorer with a blank page.

Regards.

Hi Barbara,

Still can't get IE to work?
Can you buy it a bus ticket or does it usually get there by itself.

Sorry for the joke. I just couldn't resist after re-reading your subject
line.

Regards.
