i cant connect the computer with a crossover cable

hello, im running XP Pro on both computer this one uses the internet. i ran the home network wizard and or some reason the other computer cant use this computer's internet i ran it on both computers but its not working i cant share files or anything.?
 
also my other computer is just stuck on the XP BOOT screen :( that happened a fewa days ago and i had to reinstill its cause of the network thing when it wanted me to restart after i ran the wizard and it tryed restarting thats when it happened now its stuck on BOOT SCREEN :(
