I cannot set the Screen Resolution to 800 by 600

Please help,i just bought a scanner..and it requires the
Screen reolution to be 800 by 600 and my computer will
only let me have it 640 by 480 it will not let me go up
or down. Please please please help me.

What size (in inches) is your monitor, and what type (CRT or LCD)?
Have you always had your monitor resolution set at 640 X 480?

Suggest you visit your system manufacturer's website and download the latest
driver for your graphics card.
