Im getting stuck at the blue screen after the initial restart because of a
STOP ERROR.. i think it has something to do with the configuration of my hard
drive it is already paritioned into two, But see i was using an external, and
somehow my whole world got flipped upside down, i think i need to reformat my
hard drive but im not sure how ive got a x86 based pc and Its my first time
installing. please help
when i first tried to install, i disconnected my external drive, and went
almost all the way through the setup and in the blue screen that sais
"windows in the upper left" right there after the initial restart when is
loading up windows i get this message

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer.. If this is the first time youve seen this stop
error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appers again, follow
thies steps.
Check for viruses on your computer.
Remove any newly installed hard drives or drive controllers. check your
drive to make sure is is properly configured and terminated.
Rus CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption ande then restart your
computer.
"Technical Information
***STOP:0x0000007B (0xF8980524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
and then i figured that i should just try and do it with my external,
thinging that all the nessessary tools would come to me and I could slay
this beast of a riddle Ive been fighting with all night (-: and i actually
got to the part where you can see your drives. and the only one that was
detected at all was my external...

Ok I Hope someone cant help me
I unplugged my external hard drive, and restarted my computer.
And I put my xp pro in to REinstall . It began to load all the setup
programs, in the blue screen, seem like im stuck in that blue screen.. anyway
then it brings up a bar and that sais setup is loading windows. and kinda
stalls for a moment. and then pops into this happy message right here

"WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL SETUP
Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. Make
sure any hard disk drives are powerd, on and properly connected to your
computer, and that any disk-related hard ware configuration is current.. this
may involve runing a manufatctur-supplied diagnostic.

Setup cannot continue to quit setup press F3"
whah my head is spinning

First disconnect all hard drives but the one for xp to install on,then open
BIOS
on start-up,boot priority devices (or similiar),select the cdrom, install xp
cd,
save and exit BIOS,boot to xp cd,then select,install xp,new copy,delete the
partition(s),create, then xp will format and install auto.

Andrew- Thank you for your kind acknowlagment of my sour little learning
experience, seem i always learn thing the painfull way.. say if youve got a
little more insight into this partition thing =Id love to know some good
practices for doing so, because me and thies hard drives here dont see eye to
eye right now, maby if you have some good command lines for manouvering with
out such heavy steps, ive had xp for a few months, but i got a hawkd version
of xpp I thinks its oem or something, but ive had my issues with it because
im not as knowageable yet. but i thank you again,, a little unclear, but ill
wiggle it apart, i know this isnt a difficult or serious thing, I just am a
little edgy about the bios, bcause i got a like a lambourghini, its fast but
its made out of fiberglass
