I cannot get microsoft word 2000 to do a spell check, or word cou.

my 2000 word will not check spelling or do a word count, i have reinstalled
it twice now?

Are you getting any messages? If you are, what is the exact message text.

Are you sure the text has been formatted with an activated language? And is
NOT set to ignore spelling errors? You'll find an article on language
formatting in the Tips section of my website.

Also, are you sure you've used a "text" and not a "symbol" font?
