I can receive mail but cannot send

I'm using Outlook 2003 Standard Ed. On Windows XP:

I can receive messages just fine, but when I try to send messages it gives
me an error that says "Operation failed: an object could not be found." I
followed the MS problem solving route of turning on "Log on using Secure
Password Authentication." Still no luck. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked wtih your ISP to see if your settings are correct and if
they require authentication?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
