I seem to have a problem with IE6 on one of my home PCs
(which is running Windows 98 SE). This PC is networked to
2 other PCs via a Linksys router (By the way, I accesss
the Internet access with a Cable modem). I can "see" the
other PCs in the network (open their shared folders). I
can also successfully ping internet sites from the "bad"
PC. However, I can't open web pages in the Browser. I
have tried playing with all the browser's "Tools/Internet
Option/Connections/LAN Settings" controls.
Any ideas for troubleshooting further?
I figured I'd uninstall/reinstall IE6. How do I get a
COMPLETE download of IE6? I need to download a complete
version to one of my working PCs then transfer it to
my "bad" PC. Whenever I try to download using the
Microsoft site, it gives a "partial" version of IE (the
installer senses the PCs current config, and gives me only
the required files).
