I can not receive emails

Hi, I have not been able to receive emails from my windows mail.
I am clicking on the send/receive icon and nothing is happening, no error
messages are poppingup and the emails are not coming in.

Any ideas please
 
Click on the little arrow to the right of the Send/Receive button and
select Receive All. Does it do a mail check then?
Which antivirus are you running? Some of them cause problems with
Windows Mail over time.
