I can not log on with my old passport...

on my home computer with windows xp since friday morning ( i didn't install
or download anything) - but at work i can get into my email.
I get an error page when i try to got to my hotmail, or log onto aol instant
messenger unless i create a new account name and password for both.
I restored xp all the way back to wed. then monday. Called Gateway, called
my Internet Provider, Talked online to MSN tech support ( their last
suggestion was to reinstall windows), I am not that savy - afraid to loose my
other settings.
I just want to read my hotmail from home.
Any suggestions?

I do not think that this is a Windows problem. But you may want to
