I have used windows products since the very begining but
I am at my wits end with XP home. My new computer is 8
weeks old and I have had to reinstall XP 4 times. I have
registered bought software which includes setting up
major files and now I have to now call to get the
suppliers to reopen registration (including long distance
phone charges) What is the scoop?

If this is a brand new PC, why aren't you calling the PC manufacturer? You
have a guarantee..... USE IT!

Debby;
The scoop is that Windows XP is a very good operating system.

Perhaps one or more of your applications is incompatible.
However since you gave no details, it is difficult to assist.

Contact the manufacturer if the computer is still in warranty.
Also be sure you are properly protecting your investment:

Are you positive it's your OS that's giving you problems
and not a bad hard drive, driver etc.? I too have used
Windows apps since they first came out, and IMO Win XP
Pro/Home is the best you can get for home/office use in a
P2P environment.
