I am trying to reinstall IE6. When I download the file for setup, I get a
message sometimes saying the version I have is newer and setup cannot
continue. Other times when I click on setup, it says there is a pending
uninstall and I need to reboot. that doesn't help at all by the way. I have
tried changing the stuff in the registry like someone on here suggested. i
also tried to reinstall Windows XP as an upgrade. I get the "Blue screen of
death" part way into the installation. can someone please tell me another
method I could try. I will be very grateful. Thank You.

Just wanted to add one more thing. Whn I do actually get the setup screen to
work and it asks me if I accept the agreement, when I say yes and then click
next it starts initializing the setup. It stays on that screen for a long
time. Almost an hour at one time. Please help.
