Hyperthreading is not recognized by SiSoft Sandra

Hi:

I have a system with a 3.06 P4 chip. BIOS says
hyperthreading is enabled. Hardware Device Manager lists
computer as ACPI PC, as opposed to ACPI Multiprocessor PC.
It has been suggested that this setting is causing
hyperthreading not to work. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve

1. Hyperthreading must be enabled in BIOS.
2. Windows must use the correct HAL, either from a clean
install or a Repair. Once a HAL (ACPI) is in place, just
replacing or upgrading the CPU will not update the HAL.
