HyperTerminal

I am trying to connect to a remote location via
hyperterminal. The modem setting required are data bit =
7, stop bits = 1, parity = space. I configured the modemn
properly.

But when I dial out it reverts to data bit = 8, stop bits
= 1, parity = none.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how to stop from
happening? I have other hyperterminal settings and I am
not having the problem of those changing its settings.

Hi,

Modem needs 8 bit of data transfer. So, it reverts back to 8 bit when you
try to dial.
