Hyperterminal / Dialer / Act, Can Not Be heard

I am trying to use my computer as my phone. I have my phone line pluged into my modem.

I can dial in the hyperterminal and hear someone pick up but no one can hear me through my microphone. What is going on? How do I use this?

Hi,

Your modem needs to be voice-capable, and then you need proper software to
use it for voice transfer. Not all modems are voice-capable, in fact most
commonly included ones are not.
