We'll be better able to tell you if you further describe "something
different than what was typed." If you''re seeing the HYPERLINK field code,
press Alt+F9.

To get the hyperlink (email or website) to showup in properly in Word...I
have to right click and "toggle" the link until the email or website shows
proper address. This takes a long time to deal with every link I have in a
document.
If you're seeing field codes as the default rather than the content so that you have to toggle the results using Alt+F9, then in
Word 2007 you can check the Word Options (Alt T, O, A) and scroll down to 'Show Document Content' to be sure that
'Show field codes instead of their values'
is turned off.

Suzanne,
Thanks that works...However, is there a way to defalt Word (2007) so I don't
have to keep doing this?

Bob,
I went to (Alt T, O, A) and it took me to Microsoft Language Settings…after
searching around for a while, I found the “show document content†and the
‘show field codes instead of their values’ does NOT have a check mark in the
box. Now what do we do?
