Hyperlinks problem

I have thumnails on my website that are hyperlinks to other pages on the
site. When I go into preview and scroll over the thuimbnail a hand appears,
when clicking on the hand I expect the page to open the hyperlinked page,
this does not happen. Why won't the the page open up? I owned frontpage
2000 before and this was never a problem.

Please give a link to a faulty page, or post relevant code here.

What does happen when you click on the link?
What appears in the browser status-bar?

My website is working perfectly on the web. My problem is when I am editing
in FP 2003. Due to a virus I lost my hard drive, on it was my FP 2000 (I have
been using for the past 4 years) which I was quite familiar with. When the
computer was fixed they put in FP2003, I have no books other than the help on
FP2003. Which brings me back to my original question.

When I am editing in FP2003 and create a hyperlink (In Design) then click on
Preview and click on that hyperlink nothing happens. In FP2000 when you went
to Preview and clicked on the hyperlink it opened what ever it was linked to.

Where is the Browser Status Bar located?

Thank you very much, this is what I wanted to know. I take it then you have
to go to file/preview in browser/click on your browser. This will show you if
your editing works.

I would always preview in browser, and use several browsers such as IE,
FireFox and Opera. These will show up problems in your pages that IE
alone, or preview, will show.

As far as the problem goes, Hyperlinks in Preview in browser should
always work. The article Kathleen pointed you to shows the fix for
Preview in FrontPage. This does require editing the registry.

Or, go to http://www.95isalive.com/fixes where you can find a file that
will edit the registry for you (about middle of that page).

"These will show up problems in your pages that IE alone, or preview,
will show"
should have said
"These will show up problems in your pages that IE alone, or preview,
will not show"

If I remember correctly this hyperlink problem was resolved in a Windows
or Office update. You may need to visit Windows Update or Office Update
to fully patch your PC.
