I'm unclear. After reading several web pages, some say HT is not
support on W2K, yet I've seen pages showing multiple processors on the
Task Manager. Is showing multiple CPUs not an indication HT is
supported? I'm referring to Windows 2000 Server in particular.

From comp.sys.intel:

Although these particular symptoms haven't ever been reported before, but
according to Microsoft, Hyperthreading is not properly supported in Windows
2000, only Windows XP and later. There is no plans to backgraft HT support
into Win2K either.

Yousuf KhanThe CPU appears to be two CPUs at the hardware level. You can disable this in
the BIOS.
