hybernation issue

i have had the hybernation issue on my laptop since i first got it. i got my
pc like 9 months ago. i tried everything to fix the issue but nothing work.
i have a zd8000. it has 2GB of DDR2 RAM, 256MB of VRAM, a 3.4GHz processor
with HT technology. i basicly purchased the PC with all the best hardware
specs. i have Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 on it. even though i have
a bunch of other computers in my house my zd8000 is the only one with this
issue. i think it might be a hardware issue or something. i'll include the
hardware specs for the other PCs i have as well because that may belp.

my other laptop, which is a evo n600c has about 640MB of RAM, has a 1.06GHz
processor. it has xo home edition on it. it does not have this issue.

my sisters desktop which has about 512MB of DDR1 RAM, 3.4GHz processor. it
has xp mce 2004 on it with the xp mce 2005 upgrade on it. and it does not
have the hybernation issue on it.

even though microsoft came out with a fix for the hybernation/standby issue
for PCs with over 1GB of RAM, i am still having this issue.

since i have an HP laptop, i went to them for help. none of them did not
really seem like they knew how to fix it except for the last person who
seemed to know what he was talking about. he sent me the microsoft ram fix
issue fix that i mentioned above. its to bad it was already embeded in sp2.
i tried everything those people segested and nothing worked. i'm not sure if
it has to do with the hardware or the os or both.

well anyways, when i tell the laptop to hibernate, it starts out like it
normaly would. right before the screen comes up that says it is hibernating,
while the screen is still black. the process just all of a sudden crashes
and returns to windows. then a critical error appears in the system tray.
i'm sorry but i forgot exactly what it said but i'll tell you what i
remember. it said something about there not being enough resources to
complete the api. after the all the options to hybernate the pc completely
disapear from the system like they never existed, but they do come back when
i restart the pc.

please help
