hunt bar

Hunt bar tools install keeps coming up even after repeated
attempts to delete. It seems to be really integrated in
my machine. Any help to permanetly remove would help.

Wow-- so you've got one this product won't remove? Great/Horrible!

FWIW, here's a step-by-step from the competition that you may want to try:

http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/H/HuntBar.asp

If this succeeds, and Microsoft AntiSpyware didn't, let us know?

If you find there are slight variations to some names or locations in the
manual instructions to pestpatrol, it'd probably be useful to document
those, too.

One of my PC's was infected with Huntbar, along with
about 8 other "forking" individuals. It took 4 scans
before it got rid of it. 3 in normal mode. I think this
was due to the others re-downloading it. In the end I
booted to safe mode without networking and ran the scan
offline from there. That fixed it right up.

Excellent point. If you get an incomplete result or a hang, running the
scan in safe mode is the appropriate next step to take.

It'd be nice if it could detect that the same thing was coming back on
successive scans, or detect hangs and suggest safe mode to the user, but I
guess we aren't there yet.
