Huge error log file!

Just ran a defrag on my system drive and was surprised to
see the error log file (C:\Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware\errors.log) for Microsoft AntiSpyware had
reached a whopping 4gb! Is there a way of tempering this
enthusiastic logging automatically???

That's fine, but it seems a bit crude. I only noticed
the file size by accident, should be better at reporting
or limiting the log size / circular logging. I'm
surprised it's not caught out more people, or perhaps my
large log file was exceptional.

I wonder if your HD is formatted FAT32? The only reason I
ask is because 4Gb (-1 byte!), is a significant number in
FAT32 - it's the largest allowable file size under FAT32,
whereas it could be up to 16 terabytes under NTFS.... :)

No - Windows XP Pro NTFS, and the log file was actually a
shade over 4Gb - 4.2'ish.
