Last week I download 5721 definitions and used for many
days and today I check for update and Microsoft Antispyware
do an update from 5719 to 5723 instead from 5721 to 5723.
I'm so shocked!!!

Little bug--definition versions displayed various places are not reliable.
However, the actual cleaning and detection IS reliable!

it's strange because last week I had the 5721 definitions
and now the program says "updating from 5719 to 5723".

This might have something in common with the bug that
many of noticed when we updated from 5719 to 5721. We
kept getting a message saying it was updating from 5719
to 5721 every time we ran the updater. My thinking is
that 5721 was never installed properly on most of the
systems. So in effect, we were really using the 5719
defs, not the 5721 defs.

This might have caused your system to say it was updating
from 5719 to 5723, skipping 5721 all together. Run the
updater manually and see if it says that it's still
updating from 5719 to 5723. If so, follow these steps to
correct the bug:

1. Download a new copy of MSAS if you don't have the
installer on your system anymore.

2. Run the installer and select 'Remove.'

3. Reboot the system.

4. Re-install MSAS.

This should fix the problem. NOTE: Do NOT use "Add or
Remove Programs" from thge Control Panel, as some
remnants might be left in the registry and in the program
files folder.

Hoope this helps.

You know what's funny here... I've got 5721, and running an update check
today indicates that there are no updates, and that 5721 is the most
recent.... No 5723 for me I guess... At least not right now...
