I have a client with a small network of 7 PCs. One of the
machines running XP Pro runs a database that all the
other machines connect to. They have 2 small hubs
connected together to put everyone on the network. Users
were complaining about slow network speed so I replaced
the hubs with a 16 port switch. After restarting
everything only 2 machines could communicate with others
on the network. I reinstalled the hubs and all was
working again. What gives?? It was a Neatgear 10/100
switch, the network has mostly XP Pro machines and a
couple of Win 98 computers. Any ideas?
Thanks
