Hi
if I go to a site that doesn't exist
e.g.
www.ddsdsdssddsds.com
I get this back in the address bar:
http:///? www.ddsdsdssddsds.com
If I then click search I get sent to res://shdoclc/ and get a 404 error
Any ideas why this is ?

What are 404 errors?
A 404 error is what you get when your browser tries to access a page that
doesn't exist. Maybe you mistyped something, or the link you followed was
mistyped by someone else, or maybe the webmaster moved it or renamed it or
just deleted it. It's annoying for you, and sites that care about your visit
try to avoid it happening.

The res://shdoclc/ usually relates to a Winsock problem

However, it can also be causd by a hijacker or other malware on your system.
