HTTP 404

During browsing the Internet, my task mgr is loaded
with "HTTP 404-File not Found" tasks. I checked with
Microsoft error data base but this is beyond my
capabilities. Can anyone give me an advice in plain
english what to do? I just have brand new XP Home Upgrade
installed. Thanks.
