HTML attachments blocked/removed

I have Office XP with SP3. When I receive html attachments, if I don't
have the preview pane active then the html attachment is not removed.
If I enable the preview pane, the html is not viewed and the html
attachment is removed and no where to be seen as soon as the email is
clicked on. I have tried the registry settings ReadAsPlain,
Level1Remove, and Level2Remove. This situation also happens with Office
XP SP1. Any ideas? Thanks.

are you using an antivirus scanner on your email? Outlook doesn't remove
attachments, just blocks them.

Thanks for the reply. The one computer that has Office XP SP3 does use
Norton. The other computer that uses Office XP SP1 does not use any
antivirus scanner scanner. Both computers exhibited the same behavior.
