HT? - Meeting Conflict Warning

We are now running Outlook 2003 and are starting to use the Calendar on a
regular basis. Is there a way for Outlook to post a warning message when a
user tries to accept a meeting that conflicts with an already accepted one?
For instance, the Boss has already accepted a meeting from 1-5 Friday, an
Engineer send a meeting request to the Boss for 3-5 on Friday and the Boss
accepts without looking at his calendar...currently nothing happens except
two overlapping meetings are scheduled and show up that way on the Boss'
calendar. I think Outlook should be smart enough to post a pop-up on the
Boss computer saying "You already accepted a meeting for that time, Do you
wish to Overwrite, Ignore or Cancel the existing meeting?"

If not, please consider this a customer request to Microsoft.

Thank you all for the assistance.

Hi Jeff

When the meeting request is opened, there is a gray box with white text just above the "organizer" line. The text in this box states whether the meeting is recurring, etc. in addition to letting you know if the meeting conflicts with anything else on your calendar. It's not a pop-up, but the information is there

I hope that this helps
