Hp system recovery

Hello,

I need to do a system recovery due to unwanted programs that are
unremovable. However, I'm curious if the non-destructive recovery will solve
this problem? Also, what does the non-destructive method do compared to the
destructive?

A "non-destructive" recovery will repair Windows XP system files.
A "destructive" recovery will wipe the drive clean by reformatting
the hard drive and completely reinstall Windows XP.
