HP Scanner was working, then stopped. Help!

I have Paperport 9 and scanned some things 3 weeks ago.
Now I keep getting a message that reads: Desk Scan
2/Twain Error.

Error message: The file Deskscan.exe could not be
found. Make sure that the directory for Deskscan 2
listed in the HPDS23.ini file is correct, or run setup
again.

I ran setup twice and still get the same message. I did
a repair. Should I delete Paperport and again add it?

I also keep getting a message from Printmaster, having to
do with the scanner, and I never ordered Printmaster so
have no idea where it comes from.

Did you try a search -eg Start-> search -> "all files and folders" for the
file Deskscan.exe?
