HP Recovery

I've just reloaded WIndows XP from the recovery partition on my HP Pavilion.
Everything is working fine now but when I click on the HP recovery partition
in My Computer, there's nothing there.

Have the files/directories become hidden some how?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

The HP Pavilion recovery partition is hidden and should
not be visible in My Computer. This is by HP's design in
order to retain its integrity. If one where to make any changes
to it, it would not work. That's what it is hidden.

Sounds like the OP could see the recovery partition before system recovery
operation. Hmmm...

Thanks Jim for your kind words. Arse hole!

Huh? What'd I say that was unkind (presuming sarcasm on your part)? Were you
in fact *never* able to see the recovery partition, before/after the
restore, or were you able to see it before but not after? If the former, I
misinterpreted this ("become hidden" => went from "not hidden" to
"hidden"):

Carey Frisch was saying "Hey, this thing's always hidden by design, which is
believable. I was trying to bring out that in your case something had
apparently changed.

Apologies, I really didn't intend any offence.
