HP printer software

HP printer software will not load because I don't have usb.inf,usbport.inf
and usbprint.int in System32 folder. I have these files in an INF folder
with .PNF extensions. Where can I get the INF files and what do I with them?
All my other usb hardware (camera, keyboard, mouse) works fine without them.
Help much appreciated. John

It looks like the HP drivers are not setup to install with winxp. The inf
files you mention would be in the folder referred to by the HP driver error
message if t you were using win95 thru win2k (NT). Try obtaining newer
drivers.

Go to HP.com and download the driver/software for your printer and install
it following the instructions given.

I searched on Google for USB.INF and found all three files I needed. They
were downloaded free and HP Tech (took over my computer) ran the installation
and printer works fine. Great Job.
Thanks much for responses. John
